On April 17th, 2025, the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information, in collaboration with the First Welding Company, Inc. will host an event as part of the 360 CARLA project. This event aims to offer practical experience with Manufacturing Industry 4.0 Experience. When: April 17th, 2025, 9:30 – 15:30 CET Where: First Welding Company (Kopčianska 14, Bratislava) Registrations: via this link by April, 15th: https://forms.office.com/e/8AVMY2TJEd. Students must provide a brief motivation statement explaining their interest in attending. Participation will be confirmed via email. The spots are limited and will be selected based on the motivations provided during registration. The event is designed for students and university graduates interested in Manufacturing Industry 4.0. Participants will have the opportunity to: - Gain experience in the working environment of private First welding company. - Explore potential career paths and opportunities in the field of Manufacturing Industry 4.0. - Learn about current research challenges in Manufacturing Industry 4.0 in Slovakia and worldwide. - Understand the principles of the Laser and Hybrid Welding. - Network with professionals working in a field Manufacturing Industry 4.0. The event will be conducted in Slovak, with refreshments and lunch provided. The program includes: - Brief public presentations by students on their motivation to attend, in front of First Welding Company representatives and fellow participants. - An introduction to the Company through a presentation. - A guided tour of the research center, including interactive discussions between students and employees. - A roundtable discussion on the skills and knowledge required for job opportunities at the Company. - A networking lunch with selected employees of the research - center. - Presentations by employees with various job profiles and gender representation. - A presentation on the basic principles of the Laser and Hybrid Welding. - Practical activities in the Manufacturing Industry 4.0 space. - A mini student report in a LinkedIn post, with guidance on creating an impactful post about the event. - Distribution of participation certificates to students.
