Engage in the upcoming Photonics21 Board of Stakeholders Election 2024

Between 22 October and 5 November 2024, Photonics21 members will elect the new Board of Stakeholders. This year, 20 seats are up for election. Register now as a voter and/or nominate a candidate!

The Board of Stakeholders (BoS) is the main decision-making body of Photonics21. In particular, the BoS is responsible for:

  • Determining all matters related to Photonics21
  • Defining, pursuing, and implementing the objectives of Photonics21 according to its mission
  • Establishing or discontinuing Work Groups and appointing the Work Group Chairs
  • Electing the Executive Board, including the President, and appointing or excluding BoS members
  • Receiving and approving the annual activity report from the President, including the activities of the Vice Presidents, the Executive Board, the Work Groups, and the Photonics21 Secretariat
  • Making all necessary decisions on Photonics21 Membership issues and changing the Terms of Reference

Eligible voters are Photonics21 members who have registered on the Photonics21 website by 21 September 2024. According to the Terms of Reference § 5 (6) c), each Photonics21 member has one vote; however, only one vote per affiliation can be cast, regardless of how many Photonics21 members the affiliation employs. An affiliation is defined based on all the fully consolidated units listed in the Annual Report of the respective affiliation.

Find more information about the membership and register as a member.

We encourage all Photonics21 members to take part in this crucial election and register as voters and/or nominate a candidate for this pivotal board via the election portal.
